It's November!!! That's crazy!
Just to get anyone who is reading this (my mom) up to date, I thought I'd write a new post.
Since my last post...a lot of really cool things have happened!
The first thing I want to mention is the It Gets Better Project. Justw...wow. It was created mainly as an effort to encourage members of the LGBT community (more specifically: the youth) to look foward to their futures even though it might be hard right now, as an openly gay person. However, it is not just for people who are homosexual. The idea of "it gets better" pertains to anyone who is feeling like they are not worth anything or just have trouble living from day to day. You just need to take your life one step at a time, talk to people, get help, and eventully....it'll all get better. What ever "it" is. It will. This project is so special to me because a lot of the Broadway community participated in it and made incredibly inspiring videos to help reach out. People who I have met personally and have helped me, are not reaching out to the world...and that is truely an awesome thing.

Another SUPER AWESOME thing would be my internship with Scott Alan. I still cannnot even believe I got this opportunity! There is not really a concrete job description- I'm an intern...so I basically do whatever he asks to me, haha! His new CD literally JUST came out the first day I worked. So my first task was to go to stage doors and deliever them to people who sing on it! I was like, "Ummmm....THIS is what I get to do????". It was so fun. I'm sure it will get more difficult and there will be a lot of huge responsibilites, but I am excited beyond belief! I met so many amazingly talented people the first day- it was so overwhelming and....freakin cool! I can't wait to see what is in store! Scott is working on a CD release party right now, so that will be the first fun event I get to tackle (I'll be the stage manager). I'm stoked and beyond grateful!!
Well, those are basically the two things I wanted to talk about, haha.
I can't complain about life right now!
School is going well! The first semester is already half way over! Time is flying! Guess that means I'm having fun, right? Right!
Stay tuned? :)

Ocfreakingtober.
Life has been crazy!!
School is finally picking up and I actually find that I have..er..that um.."work" stuff to do sometimes now. I've had to write like, 4 papers in 3 weeks. Now, I'm not super at math, but that averages to more then one paper a week which is annoying.
One of my English teachers (I am in THREE English classes (I know, I know))is the biggest pain in the ass EVER. There is really no other way to say it. She's preggo so she has a new mood every 7 minutes and I do not have time to deal with hormones at 8:30 in the morning every Tuesday and Thursday. She is so unenthused about teaching and finds every chance she can to prove a student wrong. And I'm not just being a typical "like, omg this teacher sux" student. I am pretty reasonable. And she is off her rocker. UGH! But I love all my other teachers...usually. So, that's good :)
My roommates...still live here. Yes. So...sometimes it takes every ounce of self control in my body not to "lose it", ya know? I mean, I love em...but I need to sleep dammit! And we are currently having cleaning issues and laziness issues...ugh, there are just issues. But most of the time I love them.
I've seen more shows. I bet you can guess which ones, ha. OH! But I did finally see a new one! Promises, Promises! It was supah cute! KChen was out which was totally okay! I love understudies and Sarah Jane Everman was completely amazing! Oh and Molly Shannon (ya know....SUPAHSTAR!!) joined the company on Tuesday, so in theory I saw her 7th performance. Pretty cool! Met her at the stage door...she was so nice! Took a pic with her! Yay!
Uh..other then that I've just been living. I will admit that I miss home (THERE I SAID IT) and somedays have been hard. Really hard. But I get through them. It's NYC. And the saying is soooo true "only the strong survive". Well, I am proving that I am stong.
Bam.

It's just life.
I am going to try and cram a months worth of NYCness into this one blog post.
Alrighty, so: I got here on August 28th and moved into my dorm. My dorm consists of: two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a small kitchen/dining area. (Emphasis on the word "small"." I have 5 suite mates, so altogether there are 6 of us in two rooms. It's not...completely horrible. We all get along super well, but I do miss my own space sometimes. I'm getting used to it though.
So for the first week of living here I didn't technically have school. But we did have to go to the school for "Welcome Week" where we were put into groups and the leader like, basically told us how not to die while living in NYC. It was all common sense information, but I guess they had to do it.
There were a million street fairs that my roommates and I went to. And, duh, I lottoed some shows! (Saw N2N, Wicked, and A Little Night Music):D
Then school started and now I have to get up everyday at 7am. Blahhhh. School is actually not all that bad. I don't get a lot of work outside of class(knock on wood). So that's good. And all my teachers are pretty okay. My math teacher is like, 90...but I love her haha.
I've just been trying to get into some sort of routine (I'm a routine kind of person), but it's hard when you live with 5 other people and have to adjust to their schedule too.
From my dorm it's only about a 20 minute walk to the Times Square area, so if I ever need to get away and people watch...bam. Sometimes I literally just got there to sit. It's the best therapy ever.
One AMAZING thing that I did was........okay well, I won tickets to Bobby Cronins concert in CT. So Leah (one of my roommates) and I took to the train there. It was LIFE CHANGING. Bobby Cronin might very well be my hero. His music is beautiful. The people who sing his music are beautiful both inside and outside. It was one of the best live performences I have ever seen. And I won a Meet and Greet so I got to stick around and talk to everyone who performed. Gahhhh. They are all so inspiring. I got to talk to my husband (who is NOT in Wicked, haha) for a good 20 minutes about....life. <3 And I got to talk to Bobby for a while too and he gave Leah and I so much advice and bascically...is amazing. I will never forget what he said. Love him.
NYC is an experience. Everyday I learn something new and I'm super glad that I live here. Great things will happen <3

Starting ovah!
HEYYYYYY! I live in New York city now
AND
I've decided to start my blog over, and write about my life here and such. This is mostly for my family, and other friends-y people in VA, because they keep asking me how/what I've been doing here! :) But MOSTLY, it's for my mom, lol. I won't accept her on Facebook because....c'mon she's my MOM, I don't want her to know what I'm up to 24/7. Not like I do bad things, but she does not need to know when I'm, let's say....seeing Next to Normal for the 13th time, ya know? ;)
So in this blog I'll just update about school, cool experiences, roomies, fun stuff I do, and just the normal colleg-y stuff moms and people want to know.
Anyway, I hope to blog frequently (but not like, annoyingly frequently) so you guys who want to know what I'm up to...will know. I really love writing...and NYC. So I think this should work out!
Hopefully I'll be able to add some pictures as well!
Check back! Yay!
