It's just life.

I am going to try and cram a months worth of NYCness into this one blog post.

Alrighty, so: I got here on August 28th and moved into my dorm. My dorm consists of: two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a small kitchen/dining area. (Emphasis on the word "small"." I have 5 suite mates, so altogether there are 6 of us in two rooms. It's not...completely horrible. We all get along super well, but I do miss my own space sometimes. I'm getting used to it though.

So for the first week of living here I didn't technically have school. But we did have to go to the school for "Welcome Week" where we were put into groups and the leader like, basically told us how not to die while living in NYC. It was all common sense information, but I guess they had to do it.

There were a million street fairs that my roommates and I went to. And, duh, I lottoed some shows! (Saw N2N, Wicked, and A Little Night Music):D

Then school started and now I have to get up everyday at 7am. Blahhhh. School is actually not all that bad. I don't get a lot of work outside of class(knock on wood). So that's good. And all my teachers are pretty okay. My math teacher is like, 90...but I love her haha.

I've just been trying to get into some sort of routine (I'm a routine kind of person), but it's hard when you live with 5 other people and have to adjust to their schedule too.

From my dorm it's only about a 20 minute walk to the Times Square area, so if I ever need to get away and people watch...bam. Sometimes I literally just got there to sit. It's the best therapy ever.

One AMAZING thing that I did was........okay well, I won tickets to Bobby Cronins concert in CT. So Leah (one of my roommates) and I took to the train there. It was LIFE CHANGING. Bobby Cronin might very well be my hero. His music is beautiful. The people who sing his music are beautiful both inside and outside. It was one of the best live performences I have ever seen. And I won a Meet and Greet so I got to stick around and talk to everyone who performed. Gahhhh. They are all so inspiring. I got to talk to my husband (who is NOT in Wicked, haha) for a good 20 minutes about....life. <3 And I got to talk to Bobby for a while too and he gave Leah and I so much advice and bascically...is amazing. I will never forget what he said. Love him.

NYC is an experience. Everyday I learn something new and I'm super glad that I live here. Great things will happen <3

Starting ovah!

HEYYYYYY! I live in New York city now

AND

I've decided to start my blog over, and write about my life here and such. This is mostly for my family, and other friends-y people in VA, because they keep asking me how/what I've been doing here! :) But MOSTLY, it's for my mom, lol. I won't accept her on Facebook because....c'mon she's my MOM, I don't want her to know what I'm up to 24/7. Not like I do bad things, but she does not need to know when I'm, let's say....seeing Next to Normal for the 13th time, ya know? ;)

So in this blog I'll just update about school, cool experiences, roomies, fun stuff I do, and just the normal colleg-y stuff moms and people want to know.

Anyway, I hope to blog frequently (but not like, annoyingly frequently) so you guys who want to know what I'm up to...will know. I really love writing...and NYC. So I think this should work out!

Hopefully I'll be able to add some pictures as well!

Check back! Yay!
